BEING A GENIUS

You really don't have to be a genius at anything, especially the things society looks favourably upon, to have your worth recognised. You do not need to prove your worthiness to exist, you do not need to validate your existence by having a 'superpower.' Most autistic people are 'ordinary' folk, like everyone else. People look at popular images and get a very distorted view of autism.

On the other hand, you can, occasionally, give yourself a little confidence booster by indulging the odd positive stereotype or seven. I don't mind the association with the odd negative if it means I can have a few of these (a lot of which are indeed true!)
