What Sensory Overload Feels Like

Things slide, things churn, all stable points are lost. It’s a world of instant, immediate impressions coming at you from all directions, forming an indistinct blur without stabilisers. It’s a feeling of floating and falling at once.

A loss of reality. You feel as though there is nothing substantial and tangible in the world, all hard surfaces becoming soft and pliant. Things whirl all around you, as objects without weight or density, flying through you.
